COMEDK stands for "Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” and was formed by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association and the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association in a bid to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admissions to the Member Institutions.
COMEDK is responsible for organising a Common Entrance Test for the academic year 2017-2018, for students aspiring to pursue under graduate courses in Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges in Karnataka in member institutions of the Consortium (Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges).
COMEDK ENGG/ARCH 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Studenst should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC students of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any other Technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects.
An attempt in the Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the Rank list.
Students having Diploma are not eligible to appear in COMEDK UGET-2017 entrance test.
Students should have passed 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka).
Student should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both General Merit and Category students.
COMEDK will not be conducting any Common Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch (Architecture Course) as per existing rules. Only centralized counseling will be held for this course.

Application & Examination fees
The application fee for candidates applying for engineering course is INR 1200.
However, candidates applying for both engineering and medical courses will have to pay an application fee of INR 1500.
The application forms for COMEDK UGET 2017 will be available on the online web portal of COMEDK in the second week of February 2017.
Students will be required to first register themselves before filling up the application forms. The application form will be considered complete only after the registration, application form filling and application fee payment has been made.
The last date to submit the filled-in application forms is first week of April 2017.

Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET 2017 will have to appear for a computer-based examination consisting of multiple-choice questions.
Each question will carry one mark and there will not be any negative marking.

COMEDK ENGG/ARCH 2017 Counselling/Interview
The counseling schedule for college allocation to qualified students will be announced by COMEDK after the announcement of results.
Students will be required to be present for the centralized counseling as per the schedule announced on the official web portal of COMEDK.
COMEDK ENGG/ARCH 2017 Exam Syllabus
COMEDK UGET 2017 exam questions for engineering students will be based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics section.
Candidates appearing for both engineering and medical examination will also have to answer questions on Biology and English language.
