IBSAT is an aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI University Group, for students seeking admission into its postgraduate management programmes. IBSAT scores will be accepted by 9 IBS campuses which are situated in Hyderabad, Mumbai Jaipur, Dehradun, Kolkata, Pune, Gurgaon, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. It is a two-hour Computer-based Test (CBT) conducted across 95 test centres all over India. It tests the applicant's ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, vocabulary, analytical reasoning & reading comprehension

The application process for IBSAT 2017 has already begun from July 1 which will be continued till December 12, 2017.The candidates who aspire to pursue MBA from IBS business school must apply for the exam before the last date. There is a common application process for all the campuses. Candidates must keep the eligibility criteria in their mind while filling the application form. The entrance exam will be conducted in a four-day long window from December 21 to December 24, 2017. There are nine campuses of IBS Business schools where the candidates can get admission into.

IBSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of this IBSAT exam have been prescribed by ICFAI Business School. All the candidates applying for this exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria of IBSAT 2017 otherwise they will be disqualified at the time of admission. The eligibility norms are as follows:

IBSAT Eligibility Norms for 2 years of Management Programme

  • Candidate must  have completed graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above mark
  • The medium of instruction must be English.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis.
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2018.
  • Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations/viva/assignments) before May 31, 2018. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2018. 

IBSAT Eligibility Criteria for PhD Programmes

  • Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with medium of instruction as English

  • Post Graduation in Management (full time with specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from a UGC approved University) with 55% and above marks                                                                                             

                                                                               Or

  • Post-graduation (full-time)in Economics, Commerce, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics or in an allied discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad with 55% and above marks

                                                                               Or

  • A Professional qualification like CFA/ CA/ CWA/ CS with 55% and above marks.
  • All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of regular education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis).
  • Applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on one-time sitting basis or on part-time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for the PhD program of IBS Hyderabad.
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/ or post graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2018.
  • Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2018 onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

IBSAT 2017 Application Details

IBSAT Application form can be filled in both offline and online mode. To fill the online IBSAT application form, candidates will be required to register themselves by paying an amount of INR 1800. An email will be sent to the registered email id of candidate with the application number and password. Using those login credentials, log in to fill the IBSAT application form. Applicants must change the password before filling the form.

To fill the offline IBSAT application form, candidates need to purchase it from nearest IBS marketing office by paying the application fee of 1800 INR. A scratch card which will contain the application number and password will be given to the candidate along with the application form. Candidates will have to visit the official website of IBSAT 2017 and log in to fill the application form. Applicants must remember to change the password before filling the application form.

Change the Password ​

Enter your email id and password. A new window will be displayed which will show the option to change the password. After changing the password, the candidate will be taken to the new page which will be ‘filling up IBSAT online application form.

Candidates will have to create their profile by entering the below-given details. Once all the information is filled, click on submit button.

Fill the Academic Details

Candidates need to fill their academic details such as the name of board/university, year of passing, the medium of instruction, marks obtained in intermediate, graduation and details of post-graduation (if any). They will be required to select the programme as per their eligibility norms. Candidates will have to mention if they have completed the graduation or not. After filling all the details, click on ‘Proceed’ button. In case you need to make any changes, click on ‘Back’ button.

Upload Your Photograph –

Next step is to upload the photograph of the candidate as per the prescribed specifications.

1.       Upload colour photograph

2.       The size of the photograph should not exceed 25KB.

3.       The full face should be visible till shoulders.

4.       The photograph must be in jpeg. or gif. Format

Entrance Test Score

Applicants will have to mention, how they want to apply for the programs of IBS, through IBSAT 2017 or scores of GMAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC.

Submit the Application Form

The candidate will be required to choose ‘I Agree’ to the declaration statement, after filling up all the details. This declaration confirms that all the information entered by you is correct. On clicking ‘submit’ your data will be saved and you will move on to the final page.

Now you can log in to your account with your application number and registered password. You will be directed to the profile page wherein you may view the details entered and can schedule the IBSAT 2017 test o provide scores of GMAT, CAT, and NMAT by GMAC.

The application form is common for admission to MBA/PGPM programme at IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune campuses and PhD programme (full-time/part-time) at IBS Hyderabad campus.

The Application Voucher (IBSAT 2017 Bulletin) can be availed on the payment of 1800 INR for both online and offline mode of application.

  • There are 4 sections in the test – Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation.
  • Total 125 questions are asked that to be completed in two hours.

IBSAT 2017 Counselling/Interview

Candidates who have qualified the IBSAT exam based on IBSAT / NMAT by GMAC/ CAT score are called for the selection process at IBS. Applicants with a minimum score of 60% in CAT/NMAT by GMAC or who will score at least 500 in GMAT will be shortlisted for the selection rounds. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

IBSAT 2017 Exam Centres

IBSAT 2017 will be conducted in various cities across the country. Candidates will have to select the examination centre during the period of slot-booking. IBSAT exam cities will be distributed in 5 zones. Candidates will be able to choose the test centres as per their convenience.
