MICAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the PGDM (C) programme requires a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognize by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

Candidates who demonstrate the aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted.

Candidates should apply to MICA with CATXATMATCMATATMAGMAT scores.

MICAT 2017 Application Details

For the online application of MICAT, follow below mentioned steps:

Visit the official website of MICA

Click on the ‘Register’ link

Enter requisites like email ID, password to get registered with MICA and fill application.

Fill the MICAT Aptitude Test Application Form

Pay application fees via Online payment/Challan/D.D

Submit the application along with payment receipt and enclosures

Keep a copy for future references

Applicants can apply by online mode or offline mode for MICAT 2017.

Candidates who wish to fill the application in offline mode need to download the MICAT application forms 2017 from the official portal or buy it from the main campus.

The forms need to be posted to the official address of MICA before the last date of submission to avoid cancellation.

The application fee for MICAT is Rs. 1965/- for all eligible candidates.

Exam Pattern

MICAT Exam Pattern

The Computer-Based Test will comprise multiple choice as well as subjective type questions. There will be negative marking for objective section only. The examination will test students’ thinking abilities, written communication, general awareness about contemporary social and business issues specifically areas relevant to media, marketing, advertising & current affairs and analytical & verbal abilities.

The exam is divided into two sections:

Section I - This section is subjective which consists of 4 descriptive sub-sections on writing, story writing and easy writing.

Section II - This section is further divided into three parts:

Part I: Psychometric Test

Part II: Reasoning and Verbal Ability

Part III: General knowledge

MICAT pattern may vary slightly, as noticed during past exams.

MICAT 2017 Counselling/Interview

Candidates who qualify MICA Admission Test will be called for Group Excercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to get a seat at the institute.

The selection will happen in two phases – the first phase of Group Exercise & Personal Interview (GE-PI) will be conducted at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai, whereas the second phase GE-PI will be done at MICA Ahmedabad only.

MICA will release the final merit list once the final selection procedure ends.

Criteria for preparing the final selection list will include:

CAT 2016/XAT 2017/GMAT 2013 onwards score

MICAT 2017 score

GD and PI performance

Once the candidates are shortlisted after GD and PI, they can pay the admission fees and book their seat at MICA.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for two phases i.e. Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).
