MAT entrance test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) for MBA admissions. Although the basic sections of MAT are similar to CAT, there are some subtle differences in the exam. MAT scores are accepted by middle and lower level institutes and is conducted four times in a year.
Pattern of MAT Test:
MAT is an objective type exam with multiple-choice answers. You would be required to answer 200 Questions in 150 minutes. Questions are divided into five sections.
|Section No.||Topic||No of Questions||Suggested Time (Minutes)|
|3.||Data Analysis and Sufficiency||40||35|
|4.||Intelligence and Critical Reasoning||40||30|
|5.||Indian and Global Environment||40||15|
Answering so many questions in the given time frame can be a difficult task (not impossible), but having the ability to pick and choose the questions that must be done first could solve your problem. A lot depends on your preparation and speed. We suggest that you first attempt the sections you are confident about.
Additionally, there is one thing that can help you ace the exam. Take mock tests!
