The Bharathiar University, established in 1982 by the Government of Tamil Nadu, is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). Named after the much celebrated national poet Subramania Bharathi, it strives to personify its motto ‘Educate to Elevate’. The University aims to do its best and put its maximum efforts possible in making the campus a temple of learning. Its objective is to convert the university into a harbour of skills, knowledge and creativity.
