The Dhirubhai Institute of Information and Communication Technology was established in the year 2001 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It is a Technical Institute, founded by the renowned entrepreneur and the founder of Reliance Group, Dhirubhai Ambani. The Institute marks its achievements by offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the fields of Information Technology and Communication. Also, th e Institute adheres to offer Doctoral courses in the same fields. DA-IICT also offers merit based scholarships to its students for its meritorious students who might need some financial aid.
The main motto of the Institute is “Knowledge is Leadership” which signifies hard-work, encouragement, passion and perseverance to attain knowledge. DA-IICT has not left any stone unturned in making the Institute world-class. There are several facilities available for the students which are beneficial for them in all the ways. Cultural and Sports Activities:-
Synapse (Annunal Techno-Cultural Festival):- It reinforces the significance of Information, Technology and Innovation. The activities at this festival inspire solutions in the fields of Technology and Advancements.
Sports:- DA-IICT comprises of 3 Badminton Courts and 4 Table Tennis Tables. The Institute has its own teams of Football, Basketball and Volleyball. An Indoor Complex area is also present, for indoor games.
Cultural Activities- There are multiple activities taking place in the Institute, for example, Dance, Music, Theatre. Students are encouraged to showcase their talents.
Well Furnished Infrastructure
Grievance Redressal Cell:-
The Institute has a Grievance Redressal Cell where the problems related to admissions, examination and others are handled. Some minor problems are handled by the Student Body Government (SBG), and if the SBG is unable to sort the same, it gets passed on to the higher authorities.
Resource Centre/ Library:-
The DA-IICT has a full fledged resource centre which consists of various books on Technology, Mathematics, Science, Computers, and other related subjects. Moreover, the Institute has Computer systems with internet facility inside the resource centre for helping the students
The campus area is spread over 60 acres of land and there is a garden which surrounds the whole campus, thus, making it even more beautiful. The Institute follows the agenda of “Preserving the Environment” and this garden is spread across 50,000 sq. meters of land and has a wide variety of trees. Moreover, there are 4 Academic and Administrative blocks, and to occupy the rest of the area efficiently and the trees are planted there too.
There is a Women’s Cell in the Campus, in order to ensure zero gender discrimination or sexual harassment cases. Students are taught gender equality, and thus, strict actions are taken for those, who do not abide by such rules. There is proper security for women, as well as for every student of the institute. A Medical Centre is also available at the Campus premises where students are treated with care and are in constant supervision of a doctor.
The Dhirubhai Institute envisions global excellence in the fields of Consultancy, Teaching, Research and Education, as it fosters to provide the students with dynamic faculty and all the relevant facilities.
