Manipal University Admission 2017

Manipal University located in Manipal, Karnataka was established in 1953. It is a deemed, multi-disciplinary university which offers various UG and PG courses with many specializations covering almost every major field like, Pharmacy, Science, Arts, Architecture, Technology, etc. The range of courses includes BA, B.Sc., B.Arch., M.Tech, B.Tech, M.Pharm, MCA, MBA, etc. 

Admission to most of the courses is done through a university conducted examination called as All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET). Admissions to PG Medical or Dental courses offered by MU will be done on the basis of the ranks obtained in NEET. There are many other courses for which the university accepts direct admission based on the marks obtained in qualifying examinations. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the rounds of counselling.

Application forms for admission to Manipal University courses can be filled and submitted online and offline along with the prescribed processing fee.  The University also encourages merit by providing scholarships to meritorious students.

Manipal University UG Admission

Manipal University offers various UG courses in specializations like Allied Health, Architecture, Communication, Dentistry, etc. The minimum eligibility to get admission to UG courses at Manipal University is to have 10 + 2 certificate or equivalent. Admissions to B.Tech and BBA are done through the rank received in the University conducted entrance test, namely, All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET). Admissions to B.Arch. are done on the basis of the marks obtained in qualifying exam and the All India National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). Manipal University Application Process

Aspirants who are interested in studying at Manipal University must apply for the course they want to pursue. Manipal University (MU) Application Process is given below:

  • Application forms to apply at Manipal University are available online on the official website during the admission process.
  • Candidates have to register on the website if they are first time users. Upon successful registration candidates will be provided a username and password for logging in
  • Now, the aspirant would have to select the course he/she want to pursue. He/she should make sure that the information added is valid before submitting the application form.
  • An application fee of INR 2000/- can be paid online or directly to the university. Online payment can be done through Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking. Applicants also have the option to pay the fee through Demand Draft of INR 2,000/- in favor of Manipal University. It must be couriered to the following address: Director, Indian Admissions, Room no. 102, Manipal University, Manipal – 576 104, Karnataka, India.

Manipal University Admission Process

After the application process, the admission process begins. Manipal University Admission Process is given below:

  • After the application is received by the University, the candidates will receive an acknowledgment e-mail.
  • On satisfying all the eligibility requirements, a provisional admission/ offer letter will be e-mailed to the candidate. The letter will state as to when the first installment course fee should be paid along with bank details for electronic transfer.
  • Confirmed admission letters will be issued when the first installment course fee as mentioned in the provisional admission/offer letter is received by the University
  • Around four weeks prior to the commencement of classes, information regarding ‘things to do on arrival, academic calendar, etc. will be sent. This letter will also indicate the date of final registration at Manipal University
  • Candidates whose admissions are confirmed to the various courses at Manipal University are advised to reach Manipal or Mangalore campuses 1-2 days prior to the commencement of classes and report to the Office of the International Admissions, Manipal for their final registration i.e. submission of their original/official mark sheets/ transcripts and other documents as listed in the confirmed admission letter. 
  • Admission Order' will be issued. Only after the admission formalities are completed, will students be permitted to move into their allotted hostels and to attend classes.

The Manipal  University Marena indoor complex has a built-up area of about 1,42,042 square feet and has six floors.  It remains open to students and staff from 5.30 am until 9 pm, all the year round, except on national holidays when it is open only until noon. It consist of the following facilities-

The Manipal gymnasium has a variety of state-of-the-art equipment and with separate areas for cardiovascular equipment, weights, strength training etc. There are also flexibility machines and kinesis, the latest equipment to improve stability, strength and flexibility. The machine can be used to train specific muscles for specific games.

The cardio section has 14 treadmills, steppers, bikes etc. All the machines have heart rate monitoring, time, distance, calories, speed, incline etc. with a Techno Gym System (TGS) key reader.
