More about O.P. Jindal Global University

O. P. Jindal Global University also known as JGU is a non-profit global university established by the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act, 2009. JGU has been established in memory of Mr. O.P. Jindal as a philanthropic initiative of the Founding Chancellor, Mr. Naveen Jindal. The university campus has an area of over 80 acres, which provides residential facilities to the students as well as to the staff members.

The university has been recognized by University Grants Commission and has been accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC. JGU has been awarded the “ASSOCHAM National Education Excellence” Award in 2014 for Best University Serving Social Clause. It is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains a 1:15 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience. The University offers Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG) and Doctorate (Ph. D.) programmes in disciplines of arts, science, law, management and many others.

The University seeks to connect by working with both national and international governmental, non-governmental and business organizations. The Law Programmes offered by the university is accredited by Bar Council of India. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU); International Association of Law Schools (IALS); and Association of American Colleges and Universities. The university has been ranked in top five emerging Private colleges in India by “India Today”.

The university has about 40 research centers, research, and capacity building institutes. The university has established six schools, namely:
