There is a separate departmental fest for each department going on the entire year which is quite entertaining and then there is the main fest which is considered as the biggest fest in the North East India.
Teacher understand our views and perspective and guide us accordingly. They are not redundant and come up with new ideas and teaching techniques.

It's alienated location wise. If there's development around Rangpo the college will get better exposure and more facilities.
There's everything in the campus itself, library food court, ATM and mess. The mess has surprisingly great food.
Chance for excellence in almost all fields. MUN, debate, photography, robotics etc., everything is there.
A lot of companies don't come here. This college has 98% placement record as of 2016 but the highest package wasn't higher than 12 lakhs p.a.
The teacher are well versed with their subjects and experienced. They teach with a good learning atmosphere.

IIHM doesn't have a big campus. It's single minded institute for hoteliers. Instead we have a hotel in the front end of the college (Indismart).
Off campus there are an array of food carts and vendors.
The food fests, young chef India, Young Chef Olympiad, Riggolo and other events keep happening and is an excellent part of the curriculum.
5 star properties like Taj, Oberoi, Marriott, Hyatt come annually for placements and for management training programs.
The teaching staff and faculty members are trained professionals who have worked in hotels for a good part of their life.
